BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Kazakhstan and Russia are developing 20 large projects worth almost $4 billion in several key industries, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov said, Trend reports citing the Government of Kazakhstan.
According to Sultanov, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia increased by 29 percent and amounted to $24.2 billion at the end of 2021.
"Despite the post-COVID era, we've managed to reach peak trade levels between our countries. Russian companies are currently ranking among the top five major investors in Kazakhstan ($16.5 billion). Totally, the country has implemented 13 joint landmark projects together with Russian partners. As many as 20 major projects worth nearly $4 billion are being implemented or being developed in a number of key industries,” Sultanov said.
