A celebration marking Azerbaijan’s Independence Day was held in Eskişehir. The event was organized by the Eskişehir Azerbaijanis Association and brought together association members, representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish communities, as well as members of the Azerbaijani diaspora living in the city.
Speakers highlighted the historical significance of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Azerbaijani people’s struggle for independence, and the achievements of modern Azerbaijan. They also emphasized the importance of preserving Azerbaijan’s statehood traditions and national and spiritual values, while underscoring the strategic partnership and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
As part of the celebration, information was presented about the association’s activities throughout the year. A leadership ranking featuring members who had distinguished themselves through active participation in the organization’s public, cultural, and social projects was also announced.
Participants who ranked among the top ten in the leadership table were awarded special certificates. They were wished success in their future endeavors, and the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the Azerbaijani diaspora was emphasized.
The chairman of the association, Javid Aydin, stated that the Eskişehir Azerbaijanis Association would continue its work to promote the truth about Azerbaijan internationally, preserve and promote the country’s national and cultural heritage, educate young people in a spirit of national values, and further strengthen Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and cooperation.
