Employees of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with the Diaspora held a number of business meetings during their visit to Kyrgyzstan.
A meeting held at the office of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan was attended by Ali Baytalov, head of a department at the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, and committee employee Rashad Mammadov, as well as Khansivar Bakhsaliyev, chairman of the “Birlik” Azerbaijani Public Association operating in Kyrgyzstan, Meder Rakhman, chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, and Tilek Urkunchiyev, head of the Secretariat of the Assembly’s Council.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for strengthening Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan cooperation, developing ties between diaspora organizations, preserving interethnic solidarity, and implementing joint projects and events. The sides emphasized their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation and exchanged views on current areas of joint activity.
As part of the visit, the committee officials also visited the Chuy Regional Library. Its director and representative of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kyrgyzstan, Tamilla Hajiyeva, briefed the guests on the institution’s structure, book collection and main areas of activity.
It was noted that the library represents Azerbaijan at events held in Chuy Region, including the “Kymyz Fest,” Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day celebrations and Novruz. The committee officials familiarized themselves with the Azerbaijani-language book collection, cultural and educational projects, and centers operating at the library.
