An International Friendship and Culture Festival was held in the city of Marneuli, Georgia, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan House and the Integration Center of Azerbaijanis in Georgia (GAIM), with the support of Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The festival aimed to showcase the rich cultural heritage, traditional cuisine, and customs of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Italy, while strengthening friendship among nations, promoting intercultural dialogue, and encouraging multicultural values.
Visitors had the opportunity to experience traditional dishes from the participating countries, as well as exhibitions featuring national musical instruments, traditional costumes, and cultural heritage displays.
Director of the Azerbaijan House and GAIM, Mahabbat Imanov, emphasized that culture plays a vital role in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between peoples. He noted that events bringing together the cultural heritage and traditions of different nations contribute significantly to strengthening friendly relations.
GAIM staff member Zulfinaz Aliyeva said one of the festival's key objectives was to promote multicultural values among young people and increase their awareness of different cultures. She also stressed that the center will continue implementing projects aimed at educating youth, strengthening their connection to national and moral values, and supporting the development of a multicultural society.
The festival also featured an exhibition by GAIM art teacher Khayala Mustafayeva, showcasing works reflecting national and cultural values, which attracted considerable interest from visitors.
At the end of the event, participants received educational brochures prepared by GAIM highlighting the cultural heritage, national cuisine, and traditions of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Italy.
