The World Azerbaijani Scientists Association (DAAB) and the AzEdu Education Platform have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting the scientific activities and achievements of Azerbaijani scientists living abroad to the Azerbaijani public.
The memorandum outlines the main principles for organizing cooperation and joint activities. Under the agreement, the parties will implement a joint project to inform the public about the scientific achievements, professional experience, and successes in the international academic environment of Azerbaijani scientists working in different countries around the world.
The main objective of the project is to introduce the work of Azerbaijani scientists living abroad to a wider audience and inform the Azerbaijani public about their scientific research and findings.
As part of the project, a series of interviews will be prepared with Azerbaijani scientists working in different countries who are members of the DAAB. The interviews will be published twice a month on AzEdu’s digital platforms and social media channels. The materials will cover the scientists’ academic activities, research, projects they have participated in, achievements, as well as their views on current issues in science and education.
At the same time, the materials will mainly cover fields including artificial intelligence and information technologies, medicine and biotechnology, engineering and applied sciences, energy and environmental sciences, mathematics and fundamental sciences, education and educational technologies, economics and management, as well as the social sciences and humanities.
The main format of the project will be written interviews. This format will allow the scientists’ views to be presented in greater detail and in a systematic manner, help bring their scientific work to a wider audience, and enable the materials to serve as long-term reference sources.
One of the key initiators of the project is world-renowned Azerbaijani mathematician Masud Efendiev, who lives in Germany and serves as chairman of the World Azerbaijani Scientists Association. He is a professor at the Helmholtz Center in Munich, the first Azerbaijani to receive the Humboldt Prize, an Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan, and a lifetime award recipient of Canada’s Fields Institute.
The project was conceived by Elshad Eyvazli, founder of AzEdu LLC.
