On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s independence, 558 citizens have been awarded high state honors for their many years of dedicated work, professional activities, public engagement and contributions to the development of the state and society.
Among those honored are representatives of the Republican Azerbaijani National Cultural Center (RAzNCC), its regional branches operating in Uzbekistan, as well as the “Brotherhood” Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Tashkent.
The recipients of the high state awards include Mobil Yaqub oglu Mammadov, chairman of the RAzNCC; Hasan Huseynovich Nikizad, chairman of the “Brotherhood” Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Tashkent; Azizaga Arastunovich Bayramov, chairman of the RAzNCC’s Syrdarya regional branch; Ramal Aliaga oglu Mirzayev, chairman of the RAzNCC’s Samarkand regional branch; Maral Mahammad gizi Mammadova, chairwoman of the RAzNCC’s Bukhara regional branch; and Humay Bahman gizi Isayeva, a member of the Board of the “Brotherhood” Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Tashkent.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani community have been actively involved in Uzbekistan’s public and cultural life for many years, making an important contribution to preserving culture, traditions and spiritual heritage. They have also played a significant role in promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening friendship, mutual respect and solidarity among representatives of different nationalities.
The Azerbaijani compatriots who received the awards said they were proud to receive the state honors and regarded the recognition as a great responsibility. They said that such high appreciation would encourage representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora to further expand their public and cultural activities and to undertake new projects and initiatives in the future.
