We use privacy-safe social media buttons on the website.

Social media buttons with data protection (Shariff)

Articles on these pages can be shared quickly and easily on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, VK, WhatsApp or Telegram. For this purpose, we have created the possibility to use these services with our social buttons - but still protect your privacy.

Normally, these social plugins result in every visitor to a page being immediately recorded by these services with their IP address and their further activities on the internet being logged. This happens even if the user does not click on one of the buttons.

To prevent this, we use the Shariff method. Our social buttons only establish direct contact between the social network and the visitor when the latter actively clicks on the share button. If the user is already logged in to a social network, this is done without another window for Facebook and Google+. On Twitter, a pop-up window appears in which the text of the tweet can still be edited.

Users can therefore post page content on social networks without the latter being able to create complete surfing profiles.
