An international painting exhibition titled “Toward the Sun” by young Azerbaijani artists has been held at the Delyafruz Art Gallery in the center of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
The exhibition featured works by 30 Azerbaijani artists, including paintings, graphic art, sculptures, ceramics, batik, tapestries and carpet weaving.
According to the project’s director, sculptor Roza Hasanova, the artworks were dominated by bright colors inspired by Azerbaijan’s nature and rich cultural heritage.
Leyla Begim Jafarova, head of the Azerbaijan House in Prague and a member of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, described the exhibition as a significant event both for the creative work of young artists and for Prague’s cultural life.
Performances by Janel Najafli, a young Azerbaijani violinist living in the Czech Republic, attracted considerable interest from attendees.
At the end of the exhibition, participants were presented with certificates.
It should be noted that Delyafruz is a gallery founded in Prague by Azerbaijani artist Delyafruz Bagirova, a PhD in fine arts known for her painting and batik works.
