Evelina Guliyeva, the only Azerbaijani engaged in rhythmic gymnastics in Tbilisi, was awarded the title of “Honorary Athlete” of the city in 2025. Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze presented her with a certificate.
In addition, last December Evelina Guliyeva won first place in the ball routine at the international “Christmas Cup” tournament held in Larnaca, Cyprus, which brought together hundreds of gymnasts from 12 countries. She was also honored with the special “Miss Artistic” award.
For reference, our compatriot has been practicing rhythmic gymnastics in Tbilisi since the age of four. Although she began training in an amateur group, she quickly distinguished herself through determination, discipline, and hard work, earning admission to the sports group of the Isani-Samgori Complex Sports Center. She currently represents Georgia successfully in numerous tournaments under the guidance of professional coach Salome Burdiladze. Evelina is a multiple winner and prize-holder of local federation competitions and international tournaments. Her elegance, stage presence, and technical precision consistently make her a favorite in competitions.
