An event dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day of Azerbaijan and the 5th anniversary of the signing of the Shusha Declaration was held in the Turkish city of Izmir.
Organized at Engelliler Parkı on the initiative of actress and diaspora activist Roza Ibadova Kocamaz, one of Azerbaijan’s cultural ambassadors in Türkiye, the event brought together Azerbaijani students studying in Izmir as well as young people from various regions of the Turkic world.
During the event, Roza Ibadova Kocamaz recited poems about National Leader Heydar Aliyev, highlighting his exceptional contributions to preserving and strengthening Azerbaijani statehood.
Participants highly appreciated the interest shown by young people in preserving their history, learning about their past, and keeping national memory alive, describing it as a source of hope for the future.
The gathering, attended jointly by Azerbaijani and Turkish youth, once again demonstrated that the concept of “One Nation, Two States” is not merely a slogan but a living example of brotherhood.
The event in Izmir showed that the future of Azerbaijan and the wider Turkic world is in safe hands thanks to a generation of young people committed to preserving national spirit and passing it on to future generations.
