Open lessons dedicated to May 28 – Azerbaijan’s Independence Day were held at Azerbaijani weekend schools operating in Bishkek, as well as in the villages of Dostuk and Novonikolayevka in Kyrgyzstan.
During the lessons, students were provided with detailed information about the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, its role in Azerbaijan’s statehood tradition, and the development path of modern Azerbaijan. Schoolchildren recited poems on the theme of independence and delivered presentations.
The events highlighted the importance of teaching the Azerbaijani language, national and spiritual values, and historical heritage to younger generations. Participants also emphasized that such initiatives make a significant contribution to preserving national identity and promoting Azerbaijani values among compatriots living abroad.
At the end of the events, students who excelled in learning the Azerbaijani language and demonstrated active participation in school and community life were awarded certificates of honor.
