Almaty hosts roundtable on Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan friendship

A roundtable titled "Friendship Relations Between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day, was held at the City House of Friendship in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Ata Yurd Nomad Republican Public Association.

The event brought together representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan, leaders of various ethnocultural associations, public figures, professors, and members of the Council of Mothers.

Discussions focused on friendship, unity, and solidarity among the different ethnic communities living in Kazakhstan, as well as the role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in promoting interethnic harmony.

Participants also heard presentations on the history of the Azerbaijani people and the life and legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. They were provided with detailed information about the historical significance of June 15 – National Salvation Day.

The moderator of the roundtable, Nasiha Qumarqyzy, deputy chairperson of the Ata Yurd Nomad Republican Public Association, highlighted the importance of friendship, economic cooperation, cultural ties, and educational exchanges between the brotherly nations.

Ali Baytalov, head of the Turkic States and Georgia Department at Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora, extended his congratulations and best wishes to the participants and Azerbaijanis living in Kazakhstan. He emphasized the significance of June 15 in Azerbaijan's history, Heydar Aliyev's role in strengthening relations between the two brotherly nations, and the diaspora's role as a bridge between peoples.

Nazar Balgynbayev, head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Almaty, stressed the importance of preserving ethnic diversity and strengthening mutual understanding.

The event concluded with certificates of appreciation being presented to active members of the community.
