An event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova.
The event took place at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova and was attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, and members and leadership of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova (MAK).
Participants first laid flowers in front of the bust of Heydar Aliyev located outside the Azerbaijani Embassy and honored his memory with deep respect.
In their speeches, Ambassador Ulvi Bakhshaliyev and MAK Chairman Elchin Bayramov emphasized the great importance of Heydar Aliyev for the Azerbaijani people and Azerbaijanis around the world. They noted that he left future generations a legacy of values such as national unity, statehood, respect for traditions, and loyalty to the homeland.
Later, Canet Mammadova, a student of the weekend school operating under MAK, recited a poem in memory of the National Leader.
As part of the event, a photo exhibition reflecting Heydar Aliyev’s life and statesmanship was organized, and a documentary film about his rich legacy and public-political service was screened.
