A memorial event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the architect of modern Azerbaijan and prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev was held at Heydar Aliyev Park in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Republic Azerbaijani National Cultural Center (RAzMMM).
Participants first laid flowers in front of the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and honored his memory with a minute of silence.
In his speech, Chairman of RAzMMM Mobil Mammadov emphasized that Heydar Aliyev’s rich political legacy continues to play an important guiding role in Azerbaijan’s sustainable development, the strengthening of statehood, and the expansion of international cooperation.
He thanked the leadership of Uzbekistan for their attention to preserving interethnic solidarity and historical memory, noting that the park named after Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent symbolizes the strong friendship and strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
Other speakers discussed the outstanding statesman’s exceptional contributions to strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, state-building, and the promotion of ideas of stability, peace, and progress.
