Aktau hosts open lesson on Heydar Aliyev anniversary

An open lesson dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state and National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was held at the Azerbaijan Center operating under the Sh. Yessenov Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering in Aktau, Kazakhstan.

At the beginning, the memory of Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of both brotherly countries was honored with a minute of silence.

Ilkin Orucov, director of the Azerbaijan Center, gave a detailed presentation on Heydar Aliyev’s rich life path, multifaceted state-building activities, and his invaluable contributions to raising Azerbaijan’s international standing. He emphasized that Heydar Aliyev, as one of the prominent leaders of the Turkic world, laid the strong foundations of Kazakhstan–Azerbaijan friendship and strategic partnership relations.

During the open lesson, students were shown a documentary video highlighting Heydar Aliyev’s role in the economic, political, and cultural development of modern Azerbaijan, as well as his forward-looking oil strategy and the ideological foundations of global transport projects such as the “Middle Corridor”.

At the end of the event, students shared their thoughts on the legacy of the National Leader. They noted that such events are of exceptional importance in promoting shared historical values among the younger generation and in developing humanitarian relations between the two countries.
