Peyman Hajiyev, a 24-year-old Azerbaijani athlete from the Garachop area of Georgia’s Sagarejo municipality, has won a professional Muay Thai fight in Thailand.
Representatives of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, France, Germany, Iran, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Chechnya, Iraq, Australia, Mexico, Palestine and Georgia took part in the tournament. Hajiyev competed in the 70-kilogram weight category.
In his bout against a representative of Thailand, Hajiyev scored highly in all three rounds and defeated his opponent, earning the tournament belt.
It is worth noting that on August 12, the Azerbaijani athlete also won a belt at an MMA tournament in Thailand after defeating his Russian opponent. Over the past year, he has competed in MMA and Muay Thai tournaments held in various countries, achieving a series of successful results.
