An event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, was held in İzmir.
On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth, his bust in İzmir was visited.
The event was organized by the İzmir Azerbaijan Culture and Solidarity Association and Azerbaijani youth studying there, in front of the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev located in Karşıyaka.
The event was attended by the head of the association Eşref Tuna, Azerbaijan’s cultural ambassador in the Aegean region, actress and diaspora activist Roza Ibadova Kocamaz, the association leadership, as well as students studying in İzmir — Sima Ismayilova, Nihat Rzayev, Şəhriyar Hüseyn, Dəniz Fərəcova, Mədinə Qocayeva, Nəzrin Musayeva, Aytac Xəlilova, and others.
At the beginning, flowers were laid in front of Heydar Aliyev’s monument, and his services to the Azerbaijani state and the Turkic world were discussed. Speakers emphasized that Heydar Aliyev’s legacy continues to serve as an important guiding path for the Azerbaijani people today.
The event concluded with participants taking commemorative photos.
