A musical event dedicated to May 28 – Independence Day was held in Barcelona, Spain. The event was organized with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and jointly hosted by the Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona and the Azerbaijan House.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Speakers congratulated members of the Azerbaijani community on the occasion of Independence Day and highlighted the historical significance of this important date. They also provided detailed information about Azerbaijan’s rich culture and its modern development.
An exhibition showcasing Azerbaijan’s rich historical heritage, statehood traditions, national values, and contemporary achievements was presented during the event. Participants received special brochures containing detailed information about the historical importance of May 28, the activities of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, and modern Azerbaijan. In addition, books and publications promoting Azerbaijani literature and tourism offered visitors an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the country.
The event continued with a special concert program titled “From Mozart to Coldplay” performed by the Artinity Quartet. The concert featured works by Mozart, Hans Zimmer, Coldplay, and other renowned composers and performers. The performances, which brought together various musical styles, were warmly received by the audience.
The Independence Day event contributed to raising international awareness of Azerbaijan’s rich statehood traditions, cultural heritage, and national values, while also helping to strengthen cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Spain.
