Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the conflict related to Iran is beginning to have a negative impact on Europe.
He made the statement during a phone call with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
According to a statement from Erdoğan’s administration on social media, the leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as the situation surrounding the wars in Iran and Ukraine.
“President Erdoğan noted that the war in our region has begun to weaken Europe, and if this trend is not stopped through a peace-oriented approach, the damage from the period of conflict will be significantly more serious,” the statement said.
