Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, met with Mirgani Huseynli, winner of the fifth Yukselish Competition, within the framework of the Mentorship Program.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the role of the Yukselish Competition in developing the country’s human capital, professional development opportunities for winners, and innovative approaches applicable in public administration. Topics also included the priorities of diaspora policy and ways to more effectively represent the national interests of Azerbaijanis living abroad on international platforms. Additionally, Huseynli’s individual development plan, professional goals, and future activities were reviewed. An exchange of views took place on leadership development in public governance, global networking, and expanding strategic vision.
Currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Mirgani Huseynli noted that the experience gained through the competition—especially the Mentorship Program—has had a positive impact on his professional growth. He also expressed readiness to contribute initiatives aligned with state policy priorities in his future career.
Huseynli earned a bachelor’s degree in Oil and Gas Engineering from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (2011–2015), followed by a master’s degree in Oil and Gas Field Development from Khazar University (2015–2018). Throughout his career, he has worked as an engineer and specialist in several international companies. Between 2020 and 2025, he served as a lead customer engineer at Azercosmos.
The Yukselish Competition was established by a decree of President Ilham Aliyev on July 26, 2019. Winners receive a one-year mentorship-based individual development plan and a financial award of 20,000 manat.
On December 10, 2025, President Ilham Aliyev signed a new decree regarding the organization of the sixth Yukselish Competition.
