An educational event on “Children’s labor rights in Georgia” was held in Bolnisi, organized by the Caucasus Center for Law and Integration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Public Defender's Office of Georgia, as well as parents, intellectuals, and members of the center.
The center’s Executive Director Rezo Həsənov подчеркнул the importance of such events in raising public awareness.
Head of the Child Rights Department of the Ombudsman’s Office Lika Qvinjiliya and Kvemo Kartli regional representative Murad Hüseynov provided detailed information on the current situation of child labor in Georgia. They discussed labor rights for children under 16 and those aged 16–18, legal regulations concerning their participation in sports, advertising, and cultural events, as well as standards of conduct toward children in schools.
Booklets prepared by the Ombudsman’s Office on child labor were distributed during the event.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views among participants.
