A meeting of Azerbaijani women living in The Hague was held on March 8 – International Women’s Day. The event was organized by the Netherlands-Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Association with the support of The Hague Municipality.
Azerbaijani women came together to celebrate the holiday in a warm and festive atmosphere, while also engaging in broad discussions on various topics.
Diaspora member Afet Yusifova delivered a speech on women’s rights. She emphasized that increasing legal awareness enables women to take a more active role in public life and plays an important role in building a strong, inclusive, and just society.
Leyla Chichek spoke about solidarity among women, highlighting the importance of unity among Azerbaijani communities abroad. She also noted that cooperation among women contributes significantly to preserving cultural values and strengthening social cohesion.
Fidan Fizza Rahimova подчеркнула, что поддержка активности и потенциала женщин вносит важный вклад в social progress. She added that educated women are one of the key pillars in building a strong society.
It should be noted that bringing women together to exchange experiences and ideas makes a significant contribution to strengthening solidarity within diaspora communities and preserving national and cultural values.
