BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The governments of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan signed a memorandum on export of electricity, which will be generated by the Rogun hydroelectric power plant (Tajikistan) in the summer,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
Currently, according to the Tajik side, the process of phased commissioning of all units of the Rogun HPP is underway.
Terms, modes of electricity supply, volumes and tariffs will be considered under a separate agreement on the purchase of electricity, which is planned to be signed before the end of this year.
According to the ministry, it is planned to conclude an agreement for a period of 10 years.
