TEHRAN, Iran, October 28. Iran’s tractor production had a 50-percent growth in the first six months of the current year (started March 21, 2022), said spokesman of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade Omid Ghalibaf, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The production of tractors has increased from 9,750 vehicles last year to 14,625 vehicles in the first half of the current year," he said.
The country has exported 943 tractors during the same period indicating a 89-percent growth, he said, adding that the ministry has targeted to export 4600 tractors by the end of the current Iranian year.
According to the official, Iran’s annual tractor need is 20,000 vehicles, and automakers are to produce 35,000 tractors in the current year that maintain supply and demand and increase export.
