Iran talks barter and free trade agreements

TEHRAN, Iran, October 25. Iran’s barter with other countries has reached more than $3 million during the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) and the administration's agenda is to pursue free trade agreements with west Africa and East Europe, said the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman Pak, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

He pointed out that the Iranian administration had negotiations with Eurasian countries in the past year for a free trade agreement that will be implemented in the next Iranian year (starting March 21, 2023).

Iran is negotiating with Pakistan, western African, and eastern European countries to launch free trade agreement while the Iranian president’s plan is also to pursue free trade with Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

According to the official, the country’s export target for non-oil commodities in 2024 is $75 billion, and Exporting engineering and technical services would share $5 billion of the following figure.
