BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. The inflation rate in Tajikistan will reach 11.5 percent in 2022, Trend reports citing the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) report.
The devaluation of the national currency, the dynamics of world raw material prices, and logistical issues will all contribute to an acceleration in consumer price growth in Tajikistan in 2022.
According to Eurasian Development Bank forecasts, inflation in Tajikistan will reach 5 percent in 2023 and 5.5 percent in 2024.
Further reduction of the inflation rate in Tajikistan will be facilitated by the contractionary monetary policy of the National Bank of Tajikistan, as well as the gradual decline in world prices for raw materials.
