Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2022. /Kabar/. Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Ulan Bakasov submitted for public discussion a draft law on the introduction of a ban on the import, production, sale and sale of energy drinks in the country.
According to the document, the bill is aimed at protecting the health of the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, reducing diseases arising from the consequences of the consumption of energy drinks.
Energy non-alcoholic drinks - special-purpose non-alcoholic drinks - energy drinks containing caffeine and (or) other tonic components in an amount sufficient to provide a tonic effect on the body.
Thus, if energy drinks are found by authorized state bodies, they will be seized in accordance with the law.
The list of energy drinks and the procedure for their destruction are established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Incomes received from illegal activities are subject to withdrawal and transfer to the republican budget. Persons guilty of violating the requirements of this Law will be held liable in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
