BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. Kyrgyzstan increased output of industrial proucts from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Committee, in the first 9 months of this year industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 299.2 billion soms ($3.6 billion), which is an increase of 16.6 percent over the same period in 2021.
During this period, a significant growth of industrial manufacturing in Kyrgyzstan was due to an increase in:
- output of basic metals (by 37.9 percent);
- wooden and paper products (28.2 percent);
- petroleum products (by 13.1 percent);
- food products (including drinks and tobacco products) - 12.1 percent;
- extraction of minerals (by 8.7 percent).
Meanwhile, the share of industry in Kyrgyzstan's GDP from January through September 2022 amounted to 18.6 percent.
