BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. The increase in the provision of works and services in the transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan from January through August 2022 amounted to 112.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This was announced by the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakiyev at a government meeting.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan in the field of cargo transportation by road, rail, air, and sea transport was exceeded by 10.4 percent, and cargo turnover – by 8.7 percent.
The growth rate of services rendered by the Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service) amounted to 131.8 percent, Turkmendemiryollary Agency (Turkmenistan Railway) - by 110.6 percent, Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) - 108.1 percent.
At the same time, the growth rate of the Turkmenhowayollary Agency (Turkmen Airlines) amounted to 127.9 percent, and Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency (Turkmen Communication) - 107.5 percent, the head of the agency noted.
