BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. The Consul of Turkmenistan in Russia's Astrakhan region Nury Golliev met with the Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan region Vladimir Golovkov, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of External Relations of the Astrakhan region.
During the meeting, the parties noted that the further development of the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan is mainly due to the activation of the North-South International Transport Corridor, and also added that this year it is planned to work out the establishment of a regular shipping line between the ports of the Astrakhan region and the Turkmenbashi seaport and the construction of a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the region.
Golovkov noted that these and other issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed at the Russian-Turkmen business forum to be held from January 19 through 20 in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), which will be attended by a delegation of the Astrakhan region.
In turn, the Consul of Turkmenistan assured of assistance in preparing for this important international event.
