BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.24. Nominations for gas flows (entry) at Kipoi (Greece) interconnection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) totaled 381,145,291 kWh for October 24 and 29,000,000 kWh for October 25, Trend reports October 24 citing TAP’s electronic platform.
At Komotini, the exit nominations for October 24 stand at 35,670,675 kWh, while at Nea Mesimvria, the entry nominations for October 24 amount to 17,440,000 kWh, while exit nominations stand at 62,842,301 kWh.
As for Melendugno, the exit nominations for October 24 and October 25 stand at 329,568,315 kWh and 29,840,000 kWh, respectively.
Daily physical flows at Kipoi, Komotini, Nea Mesimvria and Melendugno for October 24 are equal to 31,744,689 kWh, 2,942,659 kWh, 3,678,127 kWh and 25,521,527 kWh, respectively.
As the European section of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP has the capacity to transport approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas per annum (bcm/a) to several markets in Europe. The pipeline is also designed with the potential to expand its throughput capacity up to 20 bcm/a.
As a key part of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP is strategically and economically important to Europe and essential in providing reliable access to a new source of natural gas. TAP plays a significant role in boosting Europe’s energy security, supply diversification, as well as decarbonisation objectives.
TAP’s shareholding is comprised of bp (20 percent), SOCAR (20 percent), Snam (20 percent), Fluxys (19 percent), Enagás (16 percent) and Axpo (5 percent).
