BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Tajikistan's Sughd region exported agricultural products worth $13.9 million to Uzbekistan as of October 1, 2022, the head of the department of economics and monitoring of Tajikistan's agriculture department in the Sughd region Marifat Rajabova told Trend.
According to her, during the reporting period, the volume of exports of vegetables from the Sughd region to Uzbekistan amounted to 105 tons, including 75 tons of onions.
"The volume of fruits supplies from our region to Uzbekistan as of October 1 amounted to 71 tons, cotton - 5,252 tons, and 5,385 pieces of raw leather," Rajabova said.
Meanwhile, the Sughd region has a key role in the development of the economy of Tajikistan, in addition to agriculture, the region's mining industry is very developed, particularly the extraction of non-ferrous and rare metals.
