BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan from January through September 2022 increased by 13.9 percent over the same period in 2021 ($412.4 million) - to $469.8 million, Trend reports with reference to State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
According to the committee, Tajikistan ranked 11th among Uzbekistan's main trading partners in the first nine months of this year. Meanwhile, China ranked first ($6.7 billion), followed by Russia ($6.5 billion) and Kazakhstan ($3.2 billion).
During this period, Uzbek imports of goods from Tajikistan amounted to $117.2 million, which is 57.1 percent more than in the corresponding period of last year ($74.6 million).
Meanwhile, exports from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan from January through September 2022 increased by 4.3 percent over the same period in 2021 ($337.8 million) - up to $352.6 million.
