BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. Kyrgyzstan produced 295,100 tons of crude oil in 2022, which is an increase of 7 percent, compared to 275,700 tons of oil in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, the most oil in an amount of 283,300 tons was produced in Jalal-Abad region in the country's southwest. This is an increase of 8 percent, compared to 263,300 tons in 2021.
Batken region, the second region in which crude oil was produced, manufactured 11,800 tons of oil in 2022, slightly decreasing over 12,100 tons in 2021.
According to the statistics, the value of crude oil and natural gas production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 10.5 billion soms ($120 million) last year, an increase of 7 percent over 7.4 billion soms ($84 million) in 2021.
Meanwhile, the total value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 426 billion soms ($4.9 billion) in 2022, increasing by 14 percent, compared to 370 billion soms ($4.2 billion) in 2021.
