Wheat supplies from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan decline

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. The volume of wheat supplies from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan decreased over the year, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to statistical data, Kyrgyzstan from January through October 2022 imported 4,777 tons of wheat, which is almost 19 times less compared to the same period of last year (89,621 tons).

At the same time, the value of Kyrgyz wheat imports from Kazakhstan totaled $1.2 million, which is 16 times less than in the corresponding period of 2021 ($19.9 million)

Meanwhile, total Kazakhstan's exports to Kyrgyzstan in the first 10 months of this year increased by 9.6 percent over the same period in 2021 ($548.7 million) - up to $601.7 million.
