Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, received a delegation of German doctors.
The meeting was attended by Professor Nuran Abdullayev, Head of the Clinic for Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Neuroradiology in Troisdorf and Chairman of the German-Azerbaijani Radiological and Neuroradiological Society; Professor Anastasios Mpotsaris, Director of the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology at the Munich Clinic; Volker Maus, Head of the Radiology and Neuroradiology Department at Aschaffenburg-Alzenau Hospital; Hendrik Jan Yütte, pathologist at the Fürstenberg Karree Medical Center in Berlin; Sebastian Sanduleanu, physician at the Radiology Department of Aachen University Hospital; Altay Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany and co-founder of the Cologne Azerbaijani House; and Ağa Ağayev, co-founder of the Cologne Azerbaijani House.
Welcoming the guests to Azerbaijan, Chairman Fuad Muradov spoke about the country’s modern development priorities and the large-scale projects implemented with Azerbaijani communities in more than 70 countries. He noted that Azerbaijan’s dynamic development and the important achievements of the head of state on the international stage create new opportunities and challenges for the diaspora.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijani doctors are active in various countries around the world, contributing their knowledge and experience to the healthcare systems of their host countries. It was noted that many Azerbaijani doctors work in Germany, including in leading research centers, and that the Forum of Azerbaijani Doctors Living in Germany has been organized several times. The forums were described as promoting professional cooperation and fostering a sustainable and competitive diaspora network.
The guests thanked the Committee Chairman for the warm reception and expressed great interest in their visit to Azerbaijan. They underlined the importance of sharing modern medical knowledge and highlighted the successful outcomes of organizing doctors’ forums, stressing the value of mutual exchange of experience and diversified cooperation.
The meeting also covered the integration of the Azerbaijani community in Germany, the creation of sustainable dialogue platforms, and potential areas for future cooperation.
It should be noted that with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the First Forum of Azerbaijani Doctors in Germany was held in Cologne in 2022, the second in Berlin in 2023, and the third in Bonn in 2024.
