The “Ata Yurd – Nomad” Republican Public Association operating in Almaty, Kazakhstan, organized an event dedicated to the January 20 tragedy.
Members of the community and representatives of the local public attended the event.
Suleyman Ahmadov, head of the Association, emphasized that commemorating the memory of the January 20 martyrs with constant respect is of great importance for preserving national memory.
Vugar Amirov, Consul of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Almaty, stated that the January 20 tragedy is a heroic chronicle of the Azerbaijani people’s struggle for independence and noted that such events contribute to strengthening national unity among compatriots living abroad.
