As part of his visit to Estonia, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vagif Seyidbəyov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Estonia, Anar Məhərrəmov. The meeting was also attended by Akram Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund, and committee staff members.
Ambassador Anar Məhərrəmov emphasized the importance of the active integration of Azerbaijanis living in Estonia into local society, the establishment of effective cooperation among diaspora organizations, and coordinated activities based on unified principles.
Deputy Chairman Vagif Seyidbəyov noted that the Azerbaijani state places special importance on the organization of compatriots living abroad, the expansion of institutional capacities of diaspora organizations, and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of education and culture. He spoke about projects carried out in these areas.
During the meeting, the participants also discussed the current state of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Estonia, its development prospects, and ways to strengthen cooperation in cultural and public spheres.
