BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Businessmen from Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan purchased liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Turkmen production during trading on April 8 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the exchange.
Representatives of the business community from Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan purchased 5,000 tons of LNG on the exchange at a price of $358 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $1.7 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on April 7, businessmen from Uzbekistan purchased 40,000 square meters of sheet float glass of various thicknesses in the amount of $220,700.
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
