TEHRAN, Iran, July 20. Iran is considering to use its stocks of crude oil refineries in foreign countries such as Venezuela and Nicaragua to profit from oil products and technical services export, said a member of parliament energy commission Hossein Hosseinzadeh, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Iran's share in overseas refineries will generate revenues from oil products export," he said adding that the country can export engineering and technical services and diversify its resources.
The target of having shares in overseas refineries is to develop oil and gas fields, export technical services, and establish refineries, Hosseinzadeh added.
Venezuela is importing Iranian heavy crude to feed its domestic refineries, Iranian state firms have started preparations to revamp Venezuela’s largest oil refinery. Iran's cooperation in the overseas refineries is expected to expand the country's oil export and revenues.
