Representatives of Korean and Japanese companies met at Uzenergoinspection to discuss issues related to waste processing and improving energy efficiency, UzA reports.
In particular, during the meeting with representatives of the Korean company Hyundai Heavy Industries Power Systems Co., Ltd. (HPS) and the Korea Institute for Climate Change (KICC), discussions focused on the potential for generating electricity and thermal energy through the processing of municipal waste stored at the Furkat town landfill.
Additionally, representatives of Uzenergoinspection, the Japanese Energy Conservation Center, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) met to explore cooperation in energy auditing.
As part of the dialogue, discussions were held on preparations for conducting a training course on energy auditing. The meeting addressed the current state of energy auditing in Uzbekistan and the potential for integrating international best practices into this area.
Japanese specialists presented training materials used in preparing energy managers and energy auditors in their country, along with practical assignments designed for hands-on sessions within the training program.
