BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Supplies of natural gas from Russia to Kyrgyzstan considerably increased from January through July 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistical data, Kyrgyzstan in the first 7 months of this year imported natural gas from Russia worth $37 million, which is an increase of 40.6 percent over the same period in 2021 ($26.3 million).
As reported, during the reporting period natural gas was also transported to Kyrgyzstan from Uzbekistan in the amount of $3.3 million.
Meanwhile, the Russian export of petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan in 7 months of 2022 amounted to $277 million, which is an increase of 85.1 percent over the same period in 2021 ($149.6 million).
Overall, Kyrgyz import of goods from Russia from January through July 2022 increased by 30 percent compared to the same period of last year ($1 billion) - up to $1.3 billion.
