TEHRAN, Iran, July 27. The Chairman of Iran Electrical Industry Syndicate Payam Bagheri revealed the amount of Iran Energy Ministry`s debt to the private sector for guaranteed purchase of electricity, Trend reports citing Mehr.
Bagheri said that the debt of the Energy Ministry to private power plants has surpassed $14 billion.
He suggested that the Ministry of Energy pays the debts of small and medium-sized companies from the source of Distribution, and Transmission Company (known as TAVANIR), and the other companies - through the capital market.
Bagheri warned that the postponed debt threatened the supply chain of the electricity industry, which includes manufacturing companies, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
