BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. A group of World Bank (WB) experts visited Tajikistan to develop a new project in the field of public health protection and development of the health sector, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan.
The new project will be titled "Healthy Nation" and will help to implement the goals of the "Healthy Population Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030".
World Bank experts noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the primary healthcare network occupies a special position in the health sector, and support and development of this field are of great importance. Furthermore, the population in Tajikistan is increasing, and therefore the need for timely medical care is also growing.
Experts have proposed faster and more effective ways to provide medical care and at the same time involve the population in the active protection of their health.
"One of them is conducting a survey via mobile phones, through which the management of the structure can be informed in a timely manner about the successes and shortcomings, problems and achievements of remote primary health care structures. Conducting a survey of health care workers twice a year will inform the leadership about the situation in Tajikistan's health care system," the message said.
