BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Uzbekistan and Chinese Huawei Digital Power have discussed possibilities of launching joint production of inverters for solar panels and chargers for electric vehicles on the territory of Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek Energy Ministry.
The matter was discussed between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and the President of Huawei Digital Power for the Middle East region Yao Jiang.
During the talks, besides launching joint production, the sides touched on prospects of cooperation in the field of renewables, developing this sector in Uzbekistan through the introduction of digital technologies for solar installations on the rooftops of private households, public institutions, and social facilities.
Furthermore, the Uzbek delegation, headed by the Minister of Energy, was in China on February 16, visited Huawei headquarters in Chinese Shenzhen city and the Huawei Digital Power factory of inverters and batteries for solar power plants, get acknowledged with innovative solutions for the development of the energy sector, and studied the experience of China in the field of renewable energy.
Earlier in September 2022, Huawei in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy signed a memorandum of understanding on establishing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
