BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. French companies plan to implement number of projects in the energy field of Uzbekistan,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
This was discussed during a series of meetings of Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev with the leadership of the Ministry of Trade of France and a number of large French companies.
At a meeting with the management of Electricite de France, the progress of the implementation of the company's current energy projects in the Syrdarya and Surkhandarya regions was discussed.
Representatives of the company expressed interest in the
implementation of new projects with a total capacity of 1250 MW in
the development of alternative energy sources in the Tashkent and
Navoi regions. As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an
agreement on the matter.
At a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SUEZ
company, the organizational aspects of the implementation of
investment projects to modernize the water supply systems of the
city of Tashkent and the Surkhandarya region were touched upon, and
the prospects for extending the company's experience to the
development of water supply systems in other regions of Uzbekistan
were considered.
At a meeting with the management of EIFFAGE, a project for laying a main water pipeline in the direction of Yakkabag - Karshi was discussed. The parties agreed to take measures for the accelerating implementation of the project.
