BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. The volume of grape harvest in Tajikistan significantly increased over the year, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
As of November 18, 2022, Tajik farmers have collected a total of 154,097 tons of grapes, which is 42,942 tons more compared to the same period of last year.
During the reporting period, the harvest of grapes in the Sughd region amounted to 42,415 tons, in the Khatlon region 36,234 tons, and 75,448 tons in districts under Central Government Jurisdiction.
Notably, the demand for Tajik grapes abroad is growing every year. This year, grapes from Tajikistan are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and other countries.
Meanwhile, the total volume of fruit harvest in Tajikistan, as of 18 November 2022, amounted to 254,443 tons.
