Tajik industrialists pledged to increase industrial output by 2.5 times within five years - from 38.8 billion somoni ($3.7 billion) in 2021 - up to 95 billion somoni ($9.3 billion) in 2026.
According to Tajikistan's Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the country's leadership's instructions are associated with the importance of the industrial sector for the country's economic development, as well as the announcement of 2022-2026 as the Years of Industrial Development.
Currently, a total of 2594 industrial enterprises are operating throughout the country, including 788 in the Sughd region, 710 in the Khatlon region, 548 in the capital Dushanbe.
