New overhead line to be built in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The new overhead line will be constructed in the Issyk-Kul region in northeast Kyrgyzstan, Trend report via Kyrgyz media.

The issue of the construction site of an overhead line with a capacity of 220 kilovolts up to the Issyk-Kul substation in Toru-Aygyr village was discussed between the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaybek Ibraev and the Mayor of Kyrgyz Balykchy city, in the frame of minister’s working trip to the Issyk-Kul region.

Following the meeting, the minister instructed the head of the Issyk-Kul Electric Grid Company to allow an investor to connect to the substation within the solar power plant. The solar plant is built by Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek Solar Company.

The solar power plant with a capacity of 300 mW is planned to be constructed in Toru-Aygyr village of the Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan, in an area of ​​407 hectares. The project implementation period is 30 years.

In the frame of the trip to the Issyk-Kul region, the minster also visited the Kyrgyzkomur coal base in Balykchym city, where he was informed of the amount of coal supplied by Kyrgyzkomur to the population and to Bishkek’s thermal power station.
