BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. In total, about 1.98 million tons of goods worth 133 trillion rials (about $3.16 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) last Iranian week (September 3 through September 8, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is a decrease of 4 percent in value and 3.8 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (August 27 through September 1, 2022).
So, 2.05 million tons of goods worth about 139 trillion rials (about $3.3 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, 1.65 million tons of goods worth about 78.5 trillion rials (about $1.87 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.
The main products sold in this section include cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.
In addition, about 310,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 52.9 trillion rials (about $1.26 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.
The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cut, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.
At the same time, 13,000 tons of various products worth about 1.68 trillion rials (about $39.9 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
